Non-Linear scalability is critical to the growth of any business. As a part of our scaling effort, we are setting up a shared services SE organization that will work collaboratively with our Global Solution Engineering teams to help provide technical scale and make our customers successful. 

With the broader adoption of the cloud, customers' expectations from technical Go To Market teams have changed from showing how the product works to help them understand how to use the product to solve their use cases and challenges. As a Solution Engineer, we need to enable our customers, help them build out future state architectures, provide hands-on help in solving problems, help them create and refine their roll-out plans and consumption plans, help navigate through technical blockers, realize and quantify the value of their spend with us. While this is the best model for assisting customers to realize the value of their investment, it has also resulted in increasing the responsibilities of the Solution Engineering teams. 

The shared services team would be helping our Global SE teams to scale by building reusable and custom demons, running benchmarks, building out technical architectures, answering customer questions through slack and emails, technical research works and answering security and infosec questionnaires. 

We are seeking a dynamic leader for our Shared Services team to help us build out this organization. Her/His responsibilities would include setting up the service catalog and operating model for this team, hiring and enablement of the team, defining KPIs for the team and delivering against those KPIs, managing stakeholder expectations, defining growth and career path for team members and working with cross functional leadership to build out the vision for the shared services team over the next 3 to 5 years. She/He will also be responsible for conceptualizing and rolling out tools and systems needed to help operationalize, track and improve the shared services team. The role's success would be measured through the impact that the team can make in helping provide non linear scale and career progression of individuals on the team. The Shared Services leader would also work closely with other leaders in the geography including Support, Professional Services, Product, Engineering and Sales.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires technical understanding of the big data space, familiarity with cloud technologies and an understanding of GTM operating models. This is a new team that is being set up and is expected to make a material impact to our business in 5-6 months since inception. Hence we are seeking a leader who has previous experience of building offshore scale teams that support GTM teams globally and preferably from a high growth company. 

A typical candidate would have 15+ years of experience in the technology space with at least 5 years of leadership experience in Go To Market teams, preferably in Pre-sales, Technical Account Management of Solution Architecture. Second line leadership experience in hyper growth companies is a big plus.   Exposure to global markets is a must for this role. 

Scaling through shared services is a key piece of our growth strategy. This is a highly visible role with senior and executive management stakeholders. The role would be reporting to the Vice President of Solution Engineering.
