About the Team: 
Confluent’s Business Technology & Data organization enables the company to be as data driven, efficient and systematic as possible to enable the company’s rapid growth and scale.  The organization includes the company’s Data, Business Systems and Corporate IT teams and is global in nature, with operations in North America, Europe, and Asia.

About the Role: 
We are looking for a leader to inspire, build, and lead this organization in India.  The Business Technology & Data organization will be rapidly growing in India and our India operations have become a strategic value driver for the business.  We are hiring for all roles in all functions in India, including Data Engineering, Data Science, Architects, Software Engineerings, QAs, BSAs, Support Engineers, Program Managers, and Systems Engineers and are looking for the right senior leader to oversee and lead the rapid expansion of Business Technology & Data, India. 


  • Accountability for roadmaps, performance, and availability of the projects and systems overseen by Business Technology & Data, India
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development to a large team of India-based technologists
  • Foster and maintain a strong culture of performance, accountability and excitement
  • Recruit, hire, motivate and retain top talent across various technical roles
  • Responsible for improving company-wide employee sentiment (via engagement surveys) related to Systems & Access to Information
  • Lead projects through ideation, design, development, implementation, and support
  • Develop the organizational structure, operating cadence and KPIs for performance & productivity of the India team
  • Strategic partner to various organizations internally, including Business Technology & Data, Trust & Security, Sales, Customer Success, and People Operations, focused on driving business value through data and technology initiatives
  • Be a thought leader with internal customers on the design and execution of technology initiatives

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 15+ years of increasing responsibility managing an India based technology organizations within a global technology organization
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills; experience effectively communicating to all levels of the organization
  • Passion for participating in high growth, high energy companies
  • In depth experience managing multiple IT functions across Data Science, Data Engineering, GTM Systems, Finance Systems, Enterprise Architecture, End-user Services, Systems Engineering, and/or Program Management
  • Expertise managing external technology partners to deliver business applications and support services
  • Outstanding internal customer service skills
  • Evidence of being a change agent within the organization -- being the driving force behind major organizational process or systems changes
  • Ability to lead successfully in a complex environment with complex and competing priorities, balancing cross-functional demands
  • Proven ability to influence and gain buy-in with key stakeholders across the organization for technology initiatives
  • Strong process and change management experience
