The Confluent marketing team is the growth engine building awareness and generating demand for the leading event streaming platform based on Apache KafkaⓇ.

More specifically, the Cloud Product-Led Growth team is one of the most cross-functional at Confluent and includes folks from lifecycle marketing, product marketing, campaigns, product, data science, commercial sales, finance, and marketing operations. Together, we focus on coordinating strategies and aligning on KPIs to grow our Cloud Self-Service product across various user personas.

We are looking for a Product-Led Growth Marketing Manager to optimize our Cloud Self-Service growth engine in  APAC. In this new role, the successful candidate will partner with cross-functional colleagues to unlock the motions that drive self-serve signups and conversions.  
The ideal candidate would have experience using data to inform strategy and experimentation, and is someone who thrives in driving diverse, cross-functional teams to results, at a hyper-growth company.

What you will do:

  • Owning the entire self-serve funnel for Confluent Cloud in APAC inclusive of  but not limited to strategic acquisition, nurture and  collaboration with sales towards conversion.
  • Partnering with regional Marketing to drive digital demand and with Sales to understand and advocate for hyper local needs along with Product, Developer Relations & Global Marketing.
  • Driving week to week execution, as well as the quarterly and annual planning processes for self-service acquisition and conversion.
  • Standing up a qualitative user  research program to improve acquisition as well as conversion tactics and ROI in APAC. 
  • Activating new channels of quality acquisition and increased conversions in APAC.
  • Ability to execute marketing operations and/or SDR activities on their own if need arises.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years experience in marketing, product growth, data science, or some combination.
  • Proven success working across diverse teams in pursuit of a single objective.
  • Maniacal about “system design,” you’re obsessed with understanding how everything works.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to perform in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.
  • Deep understanding of all modern demand generation channels and when to deploy each type of activity for maximum effectiveness
  • Must be enthusiastic about developing plans, but just as happy to roll up your sleeves to execute
  • Prior experience in sales or marketing to developers is nice to have.


  • MBA and Computer science / engineering /technical undergrad degree preferred, but not required
  • Strong technical foundation and ability to pick up and understand product/tech concepts (e.g., engineering degree and/or product experience)
  • Practical experience with cloud architectures, fully managed cloud services, and comparable offerings from cloud service providers
