About the Team:

The new and growing Content Marketing team is charged with driving awareness and consideration for Confluent as the category leader in data streaming. Working with our Confluent peers, we deliver a spectrum of content on relevant themes through trustworthy voices both within and outside of the organization. Meeting people and enterprises where they are in their data streaming journey, we build connections through a continual, thematically driven experience. It is those connections that will continue to be a key lever of growth for our company.

About the Role:

If “content is king”, then its operations are the queen; the “how” made of the people, the process, and the technology that plan, produce, and distribute that content to those who matter most: our prospects and customers.  Our Content Marketing team is looking for an experienced content operations lead to help drive excellence across content ideation, creation, distribution, and analysis. This role will own the platform and management of internal workflows, to include aligning and partnering with a multitude of stakeholders, both within and outside of the marketing organization. An equally important responsibility will be analyzing content performance, and feeding insights back into the business with an action-oriented POV.

What You Will Do:

  • Own and manage the operations platform through which content ideas are sourced, organized, and developed 
  • Lead cross-functional adoption of content operations process and its ongoing evolution
  • Through strong relationships and excellent communication, drive cross functional stakeholder alignment to keep projects on track
  • Manage and lead the quarterly readout of content activity, to include; primary and secondary KPI setting, with cross-functional input, developing the visual dashboard, analyzing performance and articulating content implications, and presenting to cross-functional stakeholders

What You Will Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in a role that was focused on, even in portion,  process or operations, and preferably in B2B marketing
  • Ability to perform independently, in a fast-paced and high-energy environment
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • An excitement for and ability to present to both peers and leadership teams
  • Experience Influencing and gaining buy-in from stakeholders both from within and outside of marketing
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead a team through the cycle of the creative process
  • Experience in developing content calendars for a large volume of content, with cross-functional participants and stakeholders
  • Experience developing dashboards and performance readouts, with the ability to derive insights and articulate those content implications

  • Experience in copyediting or proofreading marketing content
  • Experience working with design teams
  • Experience working with agile methodology
