About The Role:

We are looking for an Events Specialist to help serve as a driving force behind Confluent’s large-scale global sales events. This role will play a significant part in developing, executing,  and tracking for various tactics of the events portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a self starter with a passion for innovation, value of analytics, and an understanding of events and production. Success in the role will require collaboration with cross-agency partners, ability to problem solve, and an eagerness to learn. The role reports to the Senior Director, Strategic Events.

Bay Area preferred (remote candidates will be considered)

What You Will Do:

  • Support and produce events like: Sales Kick-off, Leaders Summits, Technical Summits, Enablement Days, and President’s Club
  • Manage event technology (website, reg, mobile app, virtual platforms, etc)
  • Serve as point of contact for vendors (onboarding and contract submissions)
  • Evaluate success and metrics of events through reporting and internal dashboards
  • Drive continuous innovation in enablement and executive programs 
  • Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, design) to ensure event messaging, deliverables, and tactics are executed according to strategy
  • Bring creativity to in-person and virtual events to boost engagement
  • Provide support for workflows including vendor setup and management, POs/invoicing, SFDC campaign creation, content review, event support and execution, budget tracking, reporting and dashboards, data analysis, working with third-party vendors, and a variety of other projects
  • Communicate regularly with various internal and external stakeholders to gather inputs and support cross-functional initiatives
  • Schedule cross-functional meetings and act as a scribe
  • Proactively manage and update the event master calendar and budget
  • Order swag and manage the swag inventory

What You Will Bring:

  • 3 years experience in marketing; B2B marketing and technology industry experience preferred
  • Experience with G Suite applications, building registration/landing pages, and working in virtual platforms 
  • Proactive self-starter with a results-driven mentality and ability to execute and track programs aligned to business goals
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including experience in copywriting and presentation decks for internal audiences
  • Ability to clearly communicate process improvements and outcomes to internal stakeholders
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage a high volume of competing tasks and demands for a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Sense of urgency, flawless attention to detail in execution, ability to prioritize and quickly adapt to a changing environment
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, executing programs on time and within budget
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Experience working both independently and within close teams in a fast-paced environment
