Confluent is seeking a Strategy & Planning Lead for our new Confluent Academy. We're looking for a strategic change leader to help us take our GTM teams to the next level. You will bring a strong point of view about what strategies and programs power the most high-performing GTM organizations, and you will drive transformation toward Confluent’s unique “Customer Growth” GTM model. 
 
Confluent’s unique Customer Growth GTM model has three core pillars:

- Product-led
- Consumption-Oriented
- Purpose-built for the Data-in-Motion journey
 
The next generation of software business models will be product-led and consumption-oriented. The first-generation model was the license and support model, and the next generation was a term-based subscription. Customers are increasingly choosing the product-led and consumption-oriented model, which is the de facto model for data and infrastructure offerings in the cloud. Given that data and cloud infrastructure represents the largest TAM and most significant disruption happening in enterprise software, these are the sales, marketing, and success motions to learn for talent in GTM roles. 
 
You will play a key role in driving our GTM strategy to fuel growth and success for Confluent and our customers and implementing fast and effective change across global teams to help evolve our learning programs and ecosystem. 
 
This role will be responsible for creating change strategies to help maximize the success & adoption of our new Confluent Academy. This person will focus on the human side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technology, and readiness activities to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our Confluent Academy programs. 

What You Will Do:

  • Design and implement a change management strategy driving successful transformation across multiple concurrent initiatives at a global, regional, or country level.
  • Gain buy-in from stakeholders across numerous business and technical functions to drive adoption and success. 
  • Effectively prioritize and sequence change initiatives for impacted audiences providing a seamless experience to employees and stakeholders. 
  • Provide consultative guidance and coaching to key stakeholders as they lead their teams through change events.
  • Develop and deploy change management tools to assess the impact and assist with adoption.
  • Complete stakeholder analysis, create action plans against identified gaps, and assess readiness for change across the Field Operations organization.
  • Perform change risk analysis, mitigation planning, and deliverable execution.
  • Develop and own the change management plan and own the execution of the strategy.
  • Develop and implement adoption and sustainability metrics to measure progress against and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Develop key messaging that aligns with the Confluent Academy mission, change management plan, communication, and training plan.
  • Lead collaboration with global, regional, and country teams to drive the adoption of sustainable change management strategies

What You Will Bring:

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in one or more of the following areas: organizational change management, information technology
  • 6+ years of experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • 6+ years of experience in the successful implementation of large-scale business transformation programs and projects
  • Experience implementing people strategies, change management theories, and best practices
  • Deep understanding of planning, design, and implementation of complex, large-scale technology-driven initiatives executed globally and cross-functionally 
  • Technical aptitude to be able to learn new technologies quickly and to design, develop and review blended learning solutions and online training materials and content
  • Strong quantitative skills: you are data-driven and can lead a team toward distilling insights from complex operational data
  • You’re up to date on the latest learning tools and thinking 
  • Agile mindset: proven ability to iterate, build minimum viable “products”, and improve
  • Outstanding verbal and written communicator: you make the complex simple
  • Team-oriented and empathetic: you can work with analysts, engineers, reps, whomever!

What Sets You Apart:

  • Prosci or CCMP Certified 
  • Experience at a high growth Software-as-a-Service or technology company
  • Experience building effective programs at our scale or greater
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or master’s in a relevant field
