About the Role

Reporting to the VP, Culture & Talent Development, this role will design, deliver, and scale innovative DEI learning programs across the business. As a subject matter expert, you will partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize DEI learning needs among key audiences and design engaging, high-impact learning programs that address these needs.

What You Will Do

  • Facilitate Employee Learning & Development
  • Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize DEI learning needs among employees, managers, and People Team members
  • Plan and launch DEI learning initiatives, with responsibility for stakeholder alignment, program development, content creation, internal communication, and metrics to measure outcomes as needed 
  • Facilitate DEI workshops and trainings as an expert facilitator
  • Create learning opportunities and forums for open dialogue and courageous conversations regarding DEI topics
  • Develop and socialize DEI learning resources and toolkits, such an Inclusive Hiring Guide and Inclusive Language Guide
  • Work closely with Learning & Development team to ensure consistency and alignment across DEI and L&D learning initiatives, and to embed DEI learning principles in core learning and development and enablement programs 
  • Develop and own progress indicators for DEI learning initiatives, share regular updates with Director and other stakeholders, and make recommendations to improve impact 
  • Support DEI Strategy & Program Development
  • Support the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in drafting DEI Roadmap and quarterly OKRs 
  • Engage and educate employees by championing the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion and contribute to the development of policies and programs designed to attract, retain, and develop a diverse workforce and foster a sense of belonging for all
  • Engage in regular, consistent communication with business partners, stakeholders and team members to drive successful culture transformation, change management and DEI solutions
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to evaluate initiatives to ensure that DEI has been considered, including but not limited to people policies, practices, procedures, and internal communications

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of experience working in DEI or Learning & Development, with proven experience building and implementing successful employee programs
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsComfort facilitating employee trainings and workshops, or eagerness to learn
  • Track record of working cross-functionally across the organization to oversee and manage projects to complete
  • Strong project management skills to handle complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with proven time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of multiple facets of diversity with a focus on intersectionality: cultural, ethnic, racial, religious, gender, educational, age, sexual orientation, linguistic, professional, and other differences that make us unique
At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $125,200 - $144,000 USD, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
