About the Role:
Confluent is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Accountant to join our EMEA team. In this role, you will be a key player in the Company's month-end close and reporting process, while supporting the Company’s growth efforts with participation in ad-hoc projects such as systems implementation and international expansion.
The ideal candidate would have experience managing a wide scope of responsibilities against competing priorities and deadlines.   

Due to the fast-paced and high growth nature of the Company, the candidate must be detail oriented, have strong organisation and communication skills, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves when needed.

What You Will Do:

  • Supporting the accounting activities including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules for the UK and other European entities.
  • Assist in the treasury processes for EMEA subsidiaries, including multiple currencies and bank accounts.
  • Assist with collation of initial data for monthly and annual information to fulfill local statutory reporting requirements. 
  • Assist in special projects as assigned by management.

What You Will Bring:

  • BA/BS degree in accounting or finance.
  • Newly qualified in either ACA, ACCA or CIMA.. 
  • Experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or high-tech organisation.
  • Understanding of US GAAP reporting requirements
  • Enterprise software and SaaS industry experience a plus.
  • Experience with Tier 1 ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret large sets of data.
