As part of our rapid growth, we’re looking to expand our Commercial Sales leadership team. The Commercial Sales Director will help lead, develop and grow Confluent’s Commercial Sales teams in the Americas. Successful candidates will drive a high performance, high accountability culture to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.

What you'll do:

  • Directly manage a team of Commercial Account Executives with focus on achieving and exceeding quarterly and annual targets.
  • Responsible for managing individual and team quotas.
  • Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and coach Commercial AEs, focused on attracting and retaining top talent that has the ability to quickly grow and scale within the organization.
  • Set and ensure the team meets quarterly KPI objectives associated with ongoing pipeline development and attaining sales goals.
  • Engage in weekly 1:1’s to coach, mentor, and assist Commercial AEs via opportunity and deal inspection reviews.
  • Ensure the effective use of, Clari and other tools in day-to-day activities. Managing progress and analyzing data in real time. 
  • Work closely with Sales Operations and Sales Enablement to make recommendations on process improvements.
  • Create the sales strategy and continue to iterate to improve execution. Set clear expectations and vision for the team.

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $137,400 - $161,400 USD, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
