About The Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated, accomplished web marketing leader to join Confluent’s marketing team. This role will own the global web strategy and craft the website’s experiences that guide users throughout their journey. This highly cross-functional role will collaborate with the brand, growth marketing, product marketing, content marketing, and engineering teams to deliver comprehensive and integrated website strategies that increase awareness, drive customer acquisition, and improve product adoption. This is a leadership role that will lead, mentor and organize a team of Web Growth Managers, Web Analyst, and Web Developers who are currently building the future of this web experience.

What You Will Do:

  • Creation of a comprehensive web strategy that ties our various digital web properties together, leveraging testing, personalization, and other tactics to create an immersive experience for our users
  • Map and optimize online user journeys across all of our digital channels 
  • Mentor, develop and guide a team of Web Growth Marketers, Web Analyst and Web Developers 
  • Use data, research, competitive insights, to identify and drive implementation of key content & web platform initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with key partners - Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Interactive and Brand teams - to ensure the web experience reflects the business strategy, narrative, and revenue objectives. 
  • Implement foundational workflows and processes to create visibility for the team and leadership to ensure executional excellence.
  • Evaluate new web technologies that could help improve operations within the organization
  • Develop and refine CRO, A/B Tests, and optimize user flow experiences to drive growth
  • Drive a variety of high-impact web projects leveraging cross-vertical teams of dedicated internal resources: designers, developers, engineers, content writers, marketers
  • Brief and manage external agencies and contractors on design and production projects
  • Establish a monthly and quarterly reporting to communicate website project progress, web and organic performance 
  • Support our EMEA and APAC teams in expanding our web footprint across our tier 1 countries

What You Will Bring:

  • 10+ years of web marketing experience
  • 5+ years of direct experience managing and developing a team of marketers and developers 
  • Web product go-to-market and launch experience, ideally in the high-growth industry
  • Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and translate web findings clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Detailed-oriented while maintaining the ability to see the overall picture and challenge the traditional path.
  • Strong web project management skills
  • Data-driven with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving with a track record of a “test & learn” mindset.
  • Excellent team player who values other views and can earn stakeholder confidence quickly and exert influence.
  • Strong executive communication and ability to effectively share program strategies, results, and insights with a large audience.
