Non-Linear scalability is critical to the growth of any business. As a part of our scaling effort, we are setting up a shared services SE organization that will work collaboratively with our Global Solution Engineering teams to help provide technical scale and make our customers successful.
With the broader adoption of the cloud, customers' expectations from technical Go To Market teams have changed from showing how the product works to help them understand how to use the product to solve their use cases and challenges. As Solution Engineer, we need to enable our customers, help them build out future state architectures, provide hands-on help in solving problems, help them create and refine their roll-out plans and consumption plans, help navigate through technical blockers, and realize and quantify the value of their spend with us. While this is the best model for helping customers realize the value of their investment, it has also increased the responsibilities of the Solution Engineering teams.
The shared services team would be helping our Global SE teams to scale by building reusable and custom demons, running benchmarks, building out technical architectures, answering customer questions through slack and emails, doing technical research works and answering security and infosec questionnaires.
We are seeking a dynamic leader to be part of our leadership team. She/He will be responsible for hiring the shared services team, enabling the team, contributing to setting up the operating model and helping define KPIs for the team. She/He will be managing the relationship with multiple stakeholders across the globe and ensuring that the team is contributing to agreed-upon KPIs and success metrics. She/He will also be responsible for conceptualizing and rolling out tools and systems needed to help operationalize, track and improve the shared services team. The success of the role would be measured through the impact that the team can make in helping provide a non-linear scale and career progression of individuals on the team. She/he will manage a team of 8-10 Solution Engineers. In specific scenarios, she/he will need to get hands-on help out the team with deliverables as well as help player-coach on interactions with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a technical understanding of the big data space, familiarity with cloud technologies and an understanding of GTM operating models. This is a new team that is being set up and is expected to make a material impact on our business in 5-6 months since inception. We are seeking a leader who has previous experience being a part of offshore scale teams that support GTM teams globally.
A typical candidate would have 10+ years of experience in the technology space with at least 2-3 years of leadership experience in Go To Market teams, preferably in Pre-sales, Technical Account Management of Solution Architecture. Exposure to global markets is a must for this role.
Scaling through shared services is a key piece of our growth strategy. This is a highly visible role with a big impact on our outcomes. The role would be reporting to the Head of Shared Services Solution Engineering.
