About the Role:
The AMER Payroll Manager will be a key member of Confluent’s global payroll team and will be responsible for developing, mentoring, and managing America’s payroll team. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Payroll, you will be responsible for managing the US, Canadian, and LATAM payroll process and leading the execution of scaling our people, processes, and systems for the region.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader, a self-starter, a problem solver, and is comfortable in challenging the status quo in order to improve and scale the function. This individual should be experienced in overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, driving process optimization/automation, managing external audits, SOX compliance, and mentoring/developing a high-performing team. You should also have experience partnering with multiple stakeholders and business partners to drive cross-functional initiatives while ensuring strong governance and compliance.
The ideal candidate is an experienced CPP with at least 7 years of experience in payroll operations, operating at a global, multinational, publicly-traded company.

We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of 108,000 - 124,200 USD, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
