About the Role:

The Confluent Professional Services team is looking for an experienced Engagement Manager (Portuguese speaking) to lead customer projects in LATAM and the eastern US. As an Engagement Manager you will be a critical driver in ensuring customer success throughout the Professional Services lifecycle and facilitating customer adoption and consumption.

The Engagement Manager plays a critical role in helping our customers make the most of their investment in our products and services by leading projects that deliver successful outcomes for our customers. The Engagement Manager is also involved in practice development activities including development of delivery artifacts and new services offerings and process improvement.

The ideal candidate is a proactive delivery leader with 5+ years of experience leading a portfolio of customer-facing projects in enterprise software/SaaS. Familiarity with SFDC/FinancialForce, Google suite, Java development projects, Cloud platforms, data streaming, Kafka is highly preferred.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Proactively lead project teams to deliver successful customer outcomes for enterprise customers
  • Lead 10-15 concurrent projects of moderate or greater complexity, with 3-4 of them active in any given week
  • Own PS delivery for your projects and be responsible for the customer experience throughout the delivery process in partnership with key internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for additional Services work by understanding and addressing potential new use-cases
  • Collaborate with the project team, a variety of internal stakeholders and the customer to ensure alignment on target outcomes
  • Effectively manage expectations of both internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage scope and schedule and work with stakeholders to amend the contract when needed
  • Coordinate and facilitate agile ceremonies and project management processes, e.g. scheduling, backlog planning, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, demonstrations, risk and issue management and status reporting
  • Track and monitor progress to ensure that the team is successfully delivering project outcomes with incremental progress in each sprint
  • Hold internal and external team members and stakeholders accountable when appropriate and in a diplomatic and productive manner
  • Provide servant leadership to the team, remove blockers and help solve problems
  • Communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders, internal and external, by understanding your audience and adjusting your communication style and content
  • Work with colleagues to find opportunities to improve delivery processes and practices

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish to support LATAM customers
  • 5+ years experience leading customer engagements in a professional services role at an enterprise software/SaaS company, managing a portfolio of concurrent customer engagements
  • 5+ years experience in project management with experience as an agile project manager or scrum master
  • Strong communication skills - clear and concise
  • Consultative leadership style
  • Self-motivated, action oriented approach
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master preferred

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location.  This position has an annual estimated salary of $145,600 - $167,400 USD, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
