About the Role:The Confluent Professional Services team is looking for Enterprise Service Managers (ESM) to contribute to the success of internal teams and our Customers.

Core activities of this role are:

  • Managing the working relationship with Confluent’s most committed customers
  • Developing long term Professional Services strategy and leading the execution of that strategy within those accounts
  • Additional Key areas include
  • Business and Relationship Development
  • Delivery oversight and Program Management
  • Confluent’s Professional Services leaders engage in a wide variety of endeavors with our customers and partners, provide collective experience from across the
  • Confluent customer base, and are obsessed with delivering comprehensively successful outcomes for our Customers.

The role entails a combination of the following activities

Engaging Customer - Enterprise Service Managers collaborate with Confluent’s Sales, Customer Success, and Partner teams to develop strong relationships to enable effective adoption of Confluent technology across Confluent’s Customer base.
Enable Data Streaming - 
You will develop a long term Data Streaming Strategy with customers, identify & develop specific opportunities and supporting business cases, and manage any issues and/or risks.
Support the commercial relationship - 
You will plan and implement a portfolio of projects, including budget & deliverable responsibilities, drive proposal construction (including estimations and deal pricing), conduct contract negotiations & execute contracts.
Earn Our Customers' Love - 
You will work with Confluent technical teams across Organizational teams to convey partner and customer feedback as input to Confluent technology roadmaps.
Be Fired up and Get it Done - 
Our Enterprise Service Managers possess the ability to assess customer marketplace demands, organizational readiness, and C-level sponsor willingness to initiate conversations that lead to broader strategic transformation programs.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Drive success with Confluent Professional Services customers across a regional customer base. Manage bookings, revenue, margins, and satisfaction targets. Create and drive legal terms agreements for your customers.
  • Drive all aspects of Professional Services business development. deal structuring, deal support, and, deal closure for your accounts
  • Engage with stakeholders across the customer organization from C-level / VP to Architects and program managers. Build initial services direction, ensure customer success and satisfaction, and contribute to account and regional growth plans.
  • Build a great team and company. Help to develop strong relationships, capabilities, and experience among Confluent team members.
  • Participate in Confluent product and sales strategy conversations affecting customers in your region.
  • Strengthen Confluent success across your customer base by developing strong delivery partner executive relationships and awareness of partner delivery capabilities.
  • Willing to travel up to 50%

     

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience selling enterprise IT delivery services (2+ years or equivalent capability).
  • Experience overseeing enterprise-level IT delivery projects (10+ years or equivalent capability).
  • Demonstrated success in building and developing remote delivery teams including resource management, performance assessment, and career/growth planning.
  • The role will be largely customer-facing, so candidates need exceptional interpersonal communications capabilities. They travel to customer sites and lead engagements that include working with business executives, enterprise architects and engineering/design
  • Ability (and willingness) to travel up to 50% of the time to client sites to support sales opportunities and existing customer relationships.

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location.  This position has an annual estimated salary of $169,800 - $195,300 , a competitive equity package and is also eligible for additional commission and/or bonus pay. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
