Description

Confluent is pioneering a fundamentally new category of data infrastructure focused on data in motion. Have you ever found a new favorite series on Netflix, picked up groceries curbside at Walmart, or paid for something using Square? That’s the power of data in motion in action—giving organizations instant access to the massive amounts of data that is constantly flowing throughout their business. At Confluent, we’re building the foundational platform for this new paradigm of data infrastructure. Our cloud-native offering is designed to be the intelligent connective tissue enabling real-time data, from multiple sources, to constantly stream across the organization. With Confluent, organizations can create a central nervous system to innovate and win in a digital-first world.

We’re looking for self-motivated team members who crave a challenge and feel energized to roll up their sleeves and help realize Confluent’s enormous potential. Chart your own path and take healthy risks as we solve big problems together. We value having diverse teams and want you to grow as we grow—whether you’re just starting out in your career or managing a large team, you’ll be amazed at the magnitude of your impact.

About the Role:

We're searching for an exceptional marketing leader to spearhead Confluent's Partner Marketing Center of Excellence team. This isn't your run-of-the-mill partner marketing role; we're looking for a marketing generalist with a strategic mindset to shape all aspects of our marketing efforts. In this role, you'll lead a global team of marketers that will integrate partners into all of our marketing initiatives. You'll build and expand partner marketing programs that not only align with our corporate objectives but also support our partners' goals. Our aim is to become the top partner marketing team in the data infrastructure sphere, delivering tangible results for both Confluent and our partner ecosystem.

What You Will Do:

  • Envision and strategize scalable partner marketing programs to bolster Confluent's GTM activities, solutions, and pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with our marketing leaders to infuse partners into our demand generation strategies.
  • Lead our high-performing partner marketing team, nurturing top talent as we grow.
  • Take ownership of the partner marketing budget, making strategic investments, and effectively managing the marketing development fund (MDF) program budget.
  • Foster collaboration with Confluent's Revenue Marketing, Product Marketing, Finance, and Partner teams to promote joint solutions, develop marketing materials, and maintain a consistent brand message.
  • Forecast and drive demand generation goals, ensuring we meet our targets.
  • Oversee quarterly retrospectives and quarterly & annual planning cycles for the partner marketing CoE function, presenting plans and outcomes to senior leadership.

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience: 8+ years of marketing experience, spanning field marketing and global campaigns.
  • Enterprise Expertise: 5+ years of experience in high-growth enterprise software and infrastructure organizations, ideally with a focus on data platforms, cloud, and open-source.
  • Partner Success: A proven track record in partner engagement, encompassing relationship building, lead generation, demand generation, and attribution.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas in a clear, straightforward manner. Proficient in persuasive writing with strong editing and proofreading capabilities.
  • Collaborative: Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building.
  • Visionary: Adept at creating pathways for others to understand our partner marketing plans and targets.
  • Empathetic: A genuine understanding of people's needs, fostering a culture of success.
