About the Role:

As the Sr. Director of Professional Services Americas at Confluent, you will lead a team of professional services consultants who work with our customers to ensure their success with Confluent's products. You will be responsible for driving adoption and consumption, achieving customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and team growth and development.

Overall, the ideal candidate for this role should have a strong track record of delivering high-quality professional services to enterprise customers and experience in leading and developing a high-performing team. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong project management skills, and a deep understanding of enterprise architecture. data and systems integration, and data stream processing markets.


What You Will Do:

  • Drive success with Confluent Professional Services customers across a regional customer base, serving as the point of escalation for key project deliveries
  • Manage the P&L of the business, as well as the overall impact the business has
  • Create and drive legal terms agreements for your customers. Engage with stakeholders across the customer organization from C-level / VP to Architects and program managers.
  • Build initial services direction, ensure customer success and satisfaction, and contribute to the account and regional growth plans
  • Build a great team and company. Help to develop strong relationships, capabilities, and collaboration among Confluent teams such as Business Development, Education, Sales, and Customer Success teams
  • Participate in Confluent product and sales strategy conversations through active feedback from customer implementations
  • Strengthen Confluent success across your customer base by developing strong delivery partner executive relationships and awareness of partner delivery capabilities
  • Champion confluent values internally and externally, including earning our customers’ love, building a great and diverse team, operating as one team, and leading with humility and empathy


What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience developing and expanding software consulting services at scale
  • 15 + Years of Consulting background and/or experience implementing SaaS/PaaS/IaaS software projects leveraging broad engagement models from high-volume-low-touch to low-volume-high-touch offerings
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to distill complex subject matter to key points and communicate to multiple audiences effectively
  • 15+ Years of Leadership Experience in a fast-growing, distributed team
  • C-Level relationship-building skills and the ability to impact change through influence
  • Experience as 3rd or 4th Line leader
  • Proven ability to manage a P&L and optimize the business for profitability
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills, ability to leverage data to convey critical insights
  • Comfort operating in rapidly changing environments and building for scale
  • Ability (and willingness) to travel as required (estimated 33%) to client sites to support sales opportunities and existing customer relationships


What Gives You an Edge:

  • Experience in cloud-native SaaS products and services with usage-based billing and consumption focus
  • Middleware or other infrastructure platform experience
  • Experience growing teams or operational experience at different sizes of companies, from startups to large enterprises
  • Knowledge of key industry verticals such as Finance, Public Sector, Retail, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Media and Entertainment

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location.  This position has an annual estimated salary of215,600 - 253,300 USD, a competitive equity package and is also eligible for additional commission and/or bonus pay. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
