About the Role:

We’re looking for a Business Partner to join our Partners Strategy & BizOps team to work closely with the Partner Theater Sales Leaders to drive our GTM initiatives. This role will drive business-critical initiatives to improve the performance and efficiency of the Partner Sales teams across all global regions and provide vital sales metrics, in-depth business analytics, and structured recommendations to the leadership team.  The ideal candidate is a leader with strong analytical skills, excellent professional communication skills, and the ability to build trust with senior sales executives.

In this role, you are comfortable with navigating ambiguity, are highly efficient, and excel at toggling between strategic thinking and detailed execution. You are a solution-oriented self-starter with a productive curiosity and a positive attitude.  You will work collaboratively across multiple business facets, including finance, data science, business systems, sales enablement, and partner ecosystem. You deliver high-quality executive dashboards and storyboards but are equally effective at influencing people across all levels of the organization. A background in a partner ecosystem strategy and analytics role similar to this one is highly desirable. 


What You Will Do:

  • Business partnership and collaboration with Partner Sales Leaders (including the cross-functional leaders and teams)
  • Annual fiscal planning - Sales coverage, target & quota setting, headcount planning,  forecast/pipeline analytics and cadences, etc.
  • Sales methodology and sales processes standardization, adoption, and refinement
  • Field communications, in-depth business analytics, and recommendations for strategic growth initiatives (partner evaluation & prioritization, new route-to-market entry, etc.).
  • Partner operating rhythms across various leadership business reviews (QBRs).


What You Will Bring:

  • BA/BS degree.  5+ years of experience in Go-To-Market analytics, Sales Operations, consulting, or banking experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of partner ecosystem strategy, operations, management, planning, and analysis in the enterprise software and open-source industry.
  • Experience with CRM functionalities/processes and advanced modeling skills with Excel / G-sheets required
  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey ideas and information in written and verbal form to a variety of audiences
  • Endless curiosity and a need to dive deeper into understanding
  • Ability to display diplomatic and remarkable interpersonal skills with colleagues and other partners
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently. Works well under the pressure of time constraints and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to distill complex problems, assess multiple viewpoints, and recommend a path forward. 
  • Demonstrated passion for information and business intelligence.
  • Experience in working with people across the globe and appreciation of the cultural nuances when working in a global, remote-first environment.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Familiarity with Tableau, the ability to build dashboards and analyze data sets with SQL queries or creating complex Excel models is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a fast-growing enterprise software company is highly preferred.

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location.  This position has an annual estimated salary of $151,400 - $174,100 USD, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
