About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated finance manager to join our Sales FP&A team. In this high-profile role you will work with business partners across Confluent to help drive strategic decision-making, provide financial insight, and build operational rigor and efficiency. You will help guide the financial planning, forecasting, and reporting process for our GTM process and provide recommendations to your business partners within these key functional areas. You will also be responsible for key financial deliverables and ad hoc analyses and help to define the processes by which we scale and grow our GTM functions. This role will report to the Sr. Manager of Strategic Sales FP&A and can be based in headquarters in Mountain View, CA or remote within the U.S.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Help evolve and improve existing sales capacity models and forecasting processes to support annual and  long range planning & revenue growth
  • Partner with Sales leaders and members of the FP&A team to identify strategic top-line and expense initiatives that will drive growth and efficiency while delivering a high return on investment
  • Assist with and eventually take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for key SaaS metrics (LTV, CAC, NRR, etc.) and Sales KPIs (headcount, quota capacity, bookings, etc.)  
  • Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, automate, and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes, and methodologies
  • Provide analytical support and thought leadership for ad-hoc projects to assess potential deals, partnerships, and sales investments as needed.

 
What You Will Bring:

  • Prior FP&A experience at a high growth technology company or in investment banking, management consulting, venture capital, private equity, and/or transaction advisory roles working with technology companies
  • Ability to influence business partners and provide recommendations in order to drive decision-making and execution
  • Experience developing and improving processes with desire to inspire change across the org
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; must also be proficient using G-Suite
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal & presentation) with the ability to understand and communicate difficult concepts
  • Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated an extraordinary work ethic and mental curiosity to understand and solve problems
  • A highly motivated team player
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, including ASC-606

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location.  This position has an annual estimated salary of $121,300 - $139,500, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
