About the Role:

As Practice Manager (Nordics) you will lead our customers through their significant digital transformation initiatives associated with the adoption of our Confluent streaming data platform, while helping to build and scale the professional services business at Confluent.  You will engage across the lifecycle of our customers to align on their business outcomes ensuring clear success criteria, positioning targeted Confluent professional services and precision delivery execution. This role will mentor and lead within professional services as well as align with strategic delivery partners within the Nordic region.

You will report to the Practice Director for Northern Europe and be based in Sweden

 

What You Will Do:

  • Your key focus will be the success of our customers helping them realise their critical business outcomes through the adoption of the Confluent streaming data platform
  • Manage professional services bookings, revenue, margins, and satisfaction targets. Create and drive legal Statement of Work agreements for your customers.
  • Act as the professional services leader for your region working alongside your cross functional leadership teams partnering with sales, pre-sales, customer success and channels & alliances
  • Build and lead your team of exceptional architects and engineers as they build their careers creating class-leading, real time event driven data infrastructures.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the customer organization from C-level / VP to architects and program managers. Build and shape the overall adoption journey, provide the initial services direction, ensure customer success and satisfaction, and contribute to account and regional growth plans.  
  • Participate in Confluent product and sales strategy conversations affecting customers in your region.  
  • Strengthen Confluent success across your customer base by developing strong delivery partner executive relationships and awareness of partner delivery capabilities.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in proactive customer management, escalation handling, and cooperation across Customer Success teams
  • Experience managing enterprise-level IT projects (10+ years or equivalent capability)
  • Experience selling enterprise IT delivery services (5+ years or equivalent capability).
  • Experience with helping customers set up self sustaining operating models (i.e Centre for Excellence / Enablement)
  • Experienced in leading and motivating teams through a combination of vision, strategy, empathy, and encouragement
  • Experienced in hiring, leading, and mentoring a team of individual contributors in an Enterprise SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated success in building and developing remote delivery teams including resource management, performance assessment, and career/growth planning.
  • The role will be largely customer-facing, so candidates need exceptional interpersonal communications capabilities.  They travel to customer sites and lead engagements that include working with business executives, enterprise architects and engineering/design management personnel from the customer.  
  • Ability (and willingness) to travel up to 50% of the time to client sites to support sales opportunities and existing customer relationships.
