Description

Confluent is pioneering a fundamentally new category of data infrastructure focused on data in motion. Have you ever found a new favorite series on Netflix, picked up groceries curbside at Walmart, or paid for something using Square? That’s the power of data in motion in action—giving organizations instant access to the massive amounts of data that is constantly flowing throughout their business. At Confluent, we’re building the foundational platform for this new paradigm of data infrastructure. Our cloud-native offering is designed to be the intelligent connective tissue enabling real-time data, from multiple sources, to constantly stream across the organization. With Confluent, organizations can create a central nervous system to innovate and win in a digital-first world.

We’re looking for self-motivated team members who crave a challenge and feel energized to roll up their sleeves and help realize Confluent’s enormous potential. Confluent is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Video to join our team. You must be creative, self-motivated, organized, and collaborative, and able to juggle various active projects in collaboration with stakeholders across teams. More importantly, you are a natural leader with a proven track record and a team player who is smart, humble, and empathetic. You strive to inspire those around you through example, understanding that we are all most impactful when we elevate each other’s work, not our own.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive video content strategy that aligns with Confluent's brand and marketing goals
  • Lead a team of videographers, editors, production staff, and contractors, providing guidance and support throughout the creative process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify video production needs and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality videos
  • Manage video production budgets and resources effectively, optimizing costs without compromising on quality
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video production, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
  • Measure and analyze the performance of video content, leveraging data to drive continuous improvement and inform future strategies

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Communications, or a related field
  • Proven experience in leading video production teams and managing end-to-end video production processes
  • Strong creative vision and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate ideas into compelling video content
  • Proficiency in video editing software and other relevant tools
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
  • Experience in the technology industry or B2B marketing is a plus
