About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst / Finance Manager to join our Corporate FP&A team. This role will help drive strategic decision-making, provide financial insight, and build operational rigor and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, aspires to bring structure to the unstructured, and enjoys collaborating with others in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.   

This position will report to the Director, Corporate FP&A.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Proactively manage planning, forecast, and reporting to provide visibility on variances from expectations by communicating key risks, opportunities, and business drivers 
  • Define and refine driver-based forecast models by developing a deep understanding of P&L and free cash flow and incorporating business changes and optimizations
  • Deliver quantitative and qualitative analyses with high precision and efficiency
  • Take initiative and build strong relationships cross-functionally to continually drive forecast accuracy, improve processes and automation, and establish rigor in measuring the business
  • Prepare deliverables for finance, executive, board, and investor relations presentations  
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to support operational and strategic decision making 

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Prior related experience with demonstrated finance and accounting acumen; record of progressive achievement leveraging data to influence business decision making
  • High aptitude for problem solving and financial modeling
  • Effective communicator with the ability to distill complex information from technical level to management consumption
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with focus on accuracy and completeness; thrives in fast-paced environment while balancing multiple tasks
  • Experience with or willingness to master financial and reporting systems; prior experience with Anaplan, NetSuite, SFDC, and Tableau a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Google Workspace a plus

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location.  This position has an annual estimated salary of $99,400 - $114,300, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
