About the Role:

As Director of Strategic Programs at Confluent, you will be responsible for leading a team of Program Managers and overseeing business-critical cross-functional initiatives. You will partner with leadership across the company to assist with setting and executing company strategy, driving alignment through OKRs, managing key corporate operations, and overseeing the most critical company-wide programs.  Your role will be pivotal in amplifying execution efficiency and guiding a seamless transition from big picture to details, while successfully navigating highly complex organizational structures. You will drive cohesive cross-functional collaboration and governance for high impact programs across Confluent.


What You Will Do:

  • Drive annual planning, partnering with leadership & finance to develop the annual company strategy
  • Operationalize the company strategy into tactics and measure their success through a corporate OKR program
  • Manage Corporate programs related to New Product Introduction, Pricing Strategy, and Program Management Center of Excellence
  • Oversee and guide the team of Strategic Program Managers in delivering highly strategic, impactful business processes and initiatives through a mix of consultative engagement and operational execution
  • Partner cross-functionally to establish key performance indicators, track program results against intended business strategy, and assess overall efficiency of the initiative
  • Build cross-functional processes targeting key business outcomes and work across Product, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance to scale them up
  • Develop blueprints and playbooks to scale best-in-class practices
  • Drive key insights on ways to increase operational efficiency at scale
  • Play a consultative role in Programs, helping disparate initiatives connect the dots between other key company-wide projects
  • Create a culture of transparency and accountability by measuring and communicating results


What You Will Bring:

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Experience in a high growth, product oriented company
  • Familiarity with SaaS/consumption GTM strategies and an understanding of Product lifecycle
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to intuitively understand operational challenges and provide timely recommendations in order to drive business decisions
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Able to drive alignment across stakeholders and influence outcomes & decisions related to key initiatives
  • Ability to manage using influence at all levels of the organization
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to clearly articulate information tailored to the audience across organizations including the executive team
  • Thrives on ambiguity
  • 10+ years of experience in program management/business operations with proven results within global, high-growth, technology companies
  • Previous experience in a senior leadership role, managing a team of program managers or similar roles

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location.  This position has an annual estimated salary of $183,800 - $216,000, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
