About the Role:  

We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR professional to join our team as a Senior Global People Business Partner for Marketing and Partner Ecosystem. In this key role, you will be responsible for aligning HR strategies with business goals, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and supporting the growth and development of our global marketing and ecosystem teams.  

   

What You Will Do:  

  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement talent strategies, initiatives, and solutions that are accretive and impactful to the business   
  • Cultivate trust and bolster credibility with clients by developing a thorough understanding of the organization's functions and the individual value each team member brings  
  • Analyze business strengths, challenges, and needs to inform strategic decision-making on people and organization  
  • Deliver insightful recommendations and viewpoints, actively challenging the status quo to foster organizational effectiveness and employee experience  
  • Drive innovation through proactive solutions, contributing to a creative and dynamic work environment  
  • Partner effectively with the HR COE and regional HR teams. Provide opinions and recommendations based on your experiences and needs assessments from client groups; establish a continuous feedback loop with your COE partners  
  • Proactively influence managers and teams to make good decisions and communicate effectively with each other  
  • Help managers to create environments that engage and motivate teams and build partnerships and collaborations with other teams/organizations  
  • In partnership with Employee Relations, respond with urgency and empathy to employee needs and drive for successful resolution; effectively manage conflict, organization changes, and resolve problems that get in the way of the execution of business plans  
  • Formulate and execute human resources strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's overarching people strategy for designated client groups  
  • Proactively instigate, cultivate, and champion the integration of organizational and procedural enhancements  
  • Lead, implement and help drive adoption of  company-wide programs and initiatives  
  • In Partnership with COEs Identify and develop appropriate learning and development solutions to help drive defined business outcomes. In addition, design programs that enable teams and individuals to thrive at Confluent  

   

What You Will Bring:  

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience  
  • 8+ years of People Business Partner Experience, including both direct client support and management coaching experience  
  • Experience supporting a SaaS technology environment, or GTM team and a working proficiency with sales compensation or other functions  
  • Demonstrated competence in the various HR functional areas, especially organizational design/organizational effectiveness, executive coaching, and change Adoption and Acceleration  
  • A strong balance of IQ and EQ with intellectual curiosity, managerial courage, and a willingness to challenge the status quo  
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and create purpose and direction  
  • Successful history managing multiple complex issues and prioritizing projects concurrently  
  • Proven track record of building high performing teams: Achieves organizational focus on key priorities, provides clear direction, actively communicates and coaches - a committed mentor, people developer and team builder  
  • Highest professional ethics and professional presence including the unwavering maintenance of business and employee confidentiality  
  • The ideal candidate should possess critical thinking skills, analytical abilities, and the capability to make well-informed decisions in situations characterized by ambiguity, drawing upon both experience and sound instincts  
  • Passion for results: The ability to find creative solutions and generate results; a strong sense of urgency and the ability to infuse that in others  
  • Experienced at working in a matrix organization effectively across multiple levels and across geographies of an organization and building successful cross functional partnerships  
  • Able to establish clear expectations, set objectives and bring multiple parties together to drive key initiatives

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location.  This position has an annual estimated salary of $149,400 - 175,500 USD, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
