About the Role:     
Confluent is on the lookout for an accomplished and data-driven senior SEO expert to join our dynamic SEO team. As a Senior SEO Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering all aspects of our SEO initiatives, from crafting content strategy to on and off-page optimization, link building, and keyword strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to significantly impact our global organic rankings, enhance our online presence across major search engines, and drive substantial conversion and revenue outcomes for the company.     
      
What You Will Do:     
Develop and Execute SEO Strategies:   
  • Spearhead the development, execution, and program management of comprehensive SEO strategies, covering content, keyword, and on/off-page optimization.  

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:   

  • Develop daily routines and insights to monitor performance and SEO growth.  
  • Assist in setting KPIs and conduct regular audits/analyses of SEO performance, communicating results/outcomes at a high level.  

Content Creation Oversight:   

  • Oversee the end-to-end content creation process, collaborating with internal teams, thought leaders, and writers.  
  • Research topics and provide outlines for writers, incorporating SEO best practices, buyer personas, and content campaigns/strategies.  
  • Offer SEO optimizations and feedback for all content types, including blogs, resources, eBooks, webinars, and developer content/documentation.  

SEO Content Strategy Enhancement:   

  • Build upon the existing SEO Content strategy, identifying gaps to further enhance rankings, traffic, conversions, and revenue goals through content strategy.  

Competitor Research:   

  • Conduct thorough competitor research to identify keyword gaps and page optimization opportunities.  

Project Management:   

  • Organize, prioritize, and efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.  

Industry Best Practices:   

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices to ensure that Confluent remains at the forefront of SEO innovation.  

  

What You Will Bring:     

  • 7+ years of experience in SEO/SEO Content Strategy, ideally in B2B SaaS.
  • Proven track record of enhancing organic traffic for large, international websites through SEO content management.
  • Experience in a technical product space.
  • Extensive experience managing numerous cross-functional content strategy projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, identifying on-page and off-page site improvements.
  • Experience in managing SEO agencies and external partners.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills, consulting for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to efficiently manage SEO content projects from start to finish and track success metrics.
  • Proficiency in tools/platforms such as SEMRush, BrightEdge, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, GSC, GTM.

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location.   This position has an annual estimated salary of $139,700 - $164,161, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
