About the Role:   

As a Service Delivery Manager, you will work in collaboration with your colleagues across Professional Services, Sales, Resource Management, and Customer Success to plan, manage and execute successful deployments of Confluent technology.  The Services Delivery Manager is ultimately responsible for the leadership, financial management, quality, and timely delivery of projects, with customer adoption and success being at the heart of all that you do. In the role of Service Delivery Manager, you must be able to work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment with strong, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills and abundant charisma and energy.   


What You Will Do:   

  • You will spend most of your time working directly on customer engagements acting as the representative for Professional Services, ensuring that we are meeting the terms of our commitments and driving our customers towards successful outcomes
  • You will keep control of the scope, plans, resources, budget and artifacts, setting and managing expectations through regular status reviews and checkpoints
  • We expect our customer to provide Project Managers for you to collaborate with, but you are the face of our delivery competence with expertise in how our solutions are best deployed, so you’ll need to get a rapid understanding of our solutions and why customers choose us
  • As a delivery professional you will also provide input into business development activities including estimates, contract reviews, case study development and marketing initiatives to broaden your exposure and value to the business
  • You can expect a balance of remote and onsite working and must be willing to travel where necessary to meet up with colleagues and clients around the Growth Markets region (MEA and Israel).  


What You Will Bring:   

  • Has rounded experience in delivery management across a variety of technical and business disciplines – certifications in known delivery methods are a plus 
  • Has good exposure to data streaming with a particular interest in data integration, kafka  and governance. 
  • Is pragmatic, understanding the importance of project rigour and controls whilst balancing the realities of delivering data transformation 
  • Has a proficient set of soft skills whilst not being uncomfortable discussing technology 
  • Manage concurrent customer projects, overseeing both tactical and strategic initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive business transformations and achieve customer outcomes. 
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to identify expansion opportunities 
  • Is familiar with our offerings and solutions
  • Is willing to travel up to 50% of the time when required in a post COVID world
