About the Role:  
Confluent is growing at an incredible rate with a large amount of our growth taking place working with our Marketplace Cloud Providers. We are looking for a Marketplace Sr. Analyst to join our team to support Marketplace opportunities and processes within Sales Operations. Reporting to the Director of Deal Strategy Operations, you will have an opportunity to work cross-functionally throughout our organization on a variety of projects that support the marketplace deal processes.  For this role, an analytical, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail are imperative, along with strong communications skills.  
   
What You Will Do:  
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide guidance on deal structuring, quoting, options for complex deals and ensuring consistent policy application.  
  • Be the main point of contact for deal approvals and escalations and meet specified metrics and service levels while serving for deal approvals and escalations to internal stakeholders.  
  • Engage with Business Unit, Legal, Credit, Revenue Assurance, Audit and Compliance, Order Management, Sales Operations, and Customer Success Manager for seamless deal processes.  
  • Utilize SFDC CPQ to ensure Quotes and Contracts adhere to internal policies and procedures.  
  • Provide in-quarter deal status updates and communication to sales finance and sales management.  
  • Manage Marketplace transactions throughout their life-cycle.  Work with cross functional teams to facilitate the deal process for Marketplace opportunities, including the eligibility requirements, implementation and documentation.  Work at both the strategic and tactical levels.  
  • Manage the development of customer relationships through the Marketplace. Directly engage with customers, external third parties and internal stakeholders to ensure a successful onboarding process to the Confluent cloud on each Marketplace platform.   
  • Engage with Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to optimize the processes between Confluent and the Cloud Provider and expand Marketplace functionality.  
  • Drill into Marketplace transactions that require customer-specific activities or changes, including engaging internal teams to find solutions and coordinating with external Cloud providers to effect the required changes.  
  • Assist in overseeing the Marketplace strategy, management, forecasts, and results.  These include developing reports for short and long term objectives, customer metrics, and overall performance of each Solution Provider.   
  • Provide on-going strategic insights and recommendations via monthly reports of each Solution Provider and putting into place action items to ensure efficiency of the overall Marketplace channel  
   
What You Will Bring:  
  • 4+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Pricing, Sales Finance, Sales Operations, or Revenue role within the Enterprise Software/SaaS industry.  
  • Proven success in collaborating with internal business units and cross-functional teams.  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex issues and troubleshoot them  
  • Good understanding of revenue recognition rules  
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, CPQ/quoting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.and Google workspace  
  • Excellent analytical skills in process documentation and process improvement, with exceptional communications skills and experience in customer-facing roles. Proven ability to take leadership role in handling potentially challenging and politically important customer situations  
  • Experience advising SaaS, On-Prem, and/or Marketplace models to Sales teams
