Confluent is looking for an experienced, motivated and driven Manager, AMER Workplace Programs based out of our Mountain View, CA office. This is an in-office role. As a part of a growing company, you must be comfortable with change, day to day operations and data management. Attention to detail, organization and communication are essential.

What You Will Do:

  • Own innovation and execution of AMER day-to-day facilities operations in our Mountain View, CA, Austin, TX, Seattle, WA, and Reston, VA (Washington D.C.) offices.
    • Manage vendor relationships, inspections, repairs, and maintenance to building systems.
    • Manage the AMER physical security program in partnership with the IT, People, InfoSec, and other internal teams.
    • Manage the AMER Shipping & Receiving Program. 
    • Manage AMER Events and Perk Programs, including on-site even support, snacks, and transportation. 
    • Manage Workplace and Employee safety by keeping up to date on local guidelines and regulations related to workplace safety and security by ensuring compliance in First Aid, pet policy, document destruction, and acting as the AlertMedia system administrator and Safety officer for AMER locations.
  • Mentor, manage, and delegate to Mountain View Office Coordinator and AMER Workplace and Community lead.
  • Partner with EMEA/APAC Workplace programs team to ensure uniform global support and offerings
  • Partner with the Director, Global Real Estate and Workplace to own and execute the real estate and workplace strategy for AMER region including office closures, openings, and moves.
  • Own and drive Confluent’s Remote-First workspace programs in AMER including our on-demand space platform, partnering with EMEA and APAC workplace community leads and stakeholders, and collaborating with other operational teams including IT.
  • Build relationships and be the go to person for AMER employees and office providers/landlords.
  • Track and manage the budget for AMER locations. Work with the larger team to ensure budgets are aligned.
  • Drive Workplace and Experience programs in AMER, including swag and happy hours.

What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, facilities management, and/or employee experience 
  • 3+ years of Management experience
  • An ownership mentality with the ability to ask critical questions, work through problems independently, and execute/delegate to their team
  • Self-starter with attention to detail
  • Proactive and organized
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work cross culturally and cross functionally

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $122,600 - $144,000 USD, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
