About the Role:

Confluent is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in the Company's month-end close and reporting process, while supporting the Company’s growth efforts with participation in ad-hoc projects.The ideal candidate has at least 5+ years of experience within accounting at a multinational publicly traded company. The 
candidate would have experience managing a wide scope of responsibilities against competing priorities and deadlines. Due to the fast-paced and high-growth nature of the Company, the 
candidate must be detail oriented, have strong organisation and communication skills, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves when needed.

What You Will Do:

  • Post cash entries and prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Capitalise fixed assets, run depreciation entries and reconcile fixed asset registers to the general ledger
  • Prepare, post and reconcile monthly accruals
  • Supporting the accounting activities including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Assist in the treasury processes for International subsidiaries, including multiple currencies and bank accounts
  • Prepare and post inter-company funding entries and reconcile inter-company accounts
  • Assist with collation of compliance data for monthly and annual information to fulfill international statutory reporting requirements
  • Assist in special projects as assigned by management

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CA Intermediary or MBA Finance or Accounting will be an added advantage
  • Experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or high-tech organisation
  • Understanding of US GAAP reporting requirements
  • Enterprise software and SaaS industry experience is a plus
  • Experience with Tier 1 ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret large sets of data
