About the Role:

As the Head of AMER Cloud Acquisition, you’ll play a central role in Confluent’s Customer Growth go-to-market strategy. Responsible for leading our Cloud Acquisition business across all of AMER, you and your team are the heart of our new logo sales growth engine. This team’s mission is to acquire new customers, grow the streaming data ecosystem, and develop early-career salespeople into top-performing professionals. You will be measured on your team’s overall quota, new logo acquisition, and growing Confluent usage (Consumption).


This second-line leader role is responsible for running our Cloud Acquisition Team across AMER. With front-line managers based nationwide, this role requires a dynamic, experienced, and forward-looking leader. We’re looking for a passionate leader motivated by building, determined to overperform, and eager to make an impact at scale.To be successful, you’ll be hardworking, energetic, and motivated by leading through change, driving new business, solving problems, and building a world-class culture.

What You Will Do:

  • Proactively hire, train, coach, and manage a team of motivated Cloud AEs and Managers, increasing Confluent’s footprint in strategic and emerging markets.
  • Inspire a culture of hard work, collaboration, learning, customer love, and ongoing improvement.
  • Develop productive and trusting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Encourage and support continuous learning and understanding of a technical product and customer base.
  • Build and execute your team’s success plans, ensuring forecast accuracy and the growth of a predictable, ambitious business.
  • Consistently hit and exceed Pipeline Targets, KPIs, and the Cloud Acquisition Quota.

What You Will Bring:

  • You are motivated by building a collaborative, high-performing, inspired team culture.
  • You have 3+ years of people-managing experience building high-growth teams serving customers within the Cloud, Data, or SaaS sales industries. 1-2 years of second-line experience is a plus.
  • History of exceeding sales quotas and KPIs in high-growth, competitive companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate the business value of complex cloud technologies, especially with technical customers.
  • Proven ability to solve complex business problems and adapt to the fast-changing nature of high-growth companies.
  • Passionate about growing your career and developing an in-depth understanding of Confluent Cloud products, use cases, and customers.

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $153,990 - $180,945, a competitive equity package and is also eligible for additional commission and/or bonus pay. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits.
