Confluent cares deeply about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). We are proud to have a strong culture of empathy and inclusion, where we empower all employees to bring their whole selves to work.
DE&I is central to Confluent’s culture and business. We know that every employee brings unique, valuable perspectives that collectively make our company stronger, more vibrant, and more innovative. We act on our commitment to DE&I by developing policies and programs that make Confluent a fair and inclusive workplace, where every employee has the opportunity to develop and succeed.
Here’s what diversity, equity, and inclusion mean to us at Confluent:
We seek to build and retain a diverse workforce through inclusive hiring practices and by providing development opportunities for employees of all backgrounds.
We create and implement equitable processes to ensure that we recognize, reward, and evaluate all employees fairly.
We strengthen our culture of inclusion through global employee programs, including eight vibrant employee resource groups (ERGs) and our Experience Ambassadors program.

This May, we examined API heritage through the lens of tradition and by holding space to discuss issues the community faces today. With the leadership of our Asians @ Confluent ERG, we learned about strategies for advancing API talent, explored the rich culinary traditions of the group, and celebrated with a Happy Hour at our HQ!
The AccessAbility Team ERG invited employees to come “Together as A-TEAM” to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month. The group sponsored a company-wide workshop on preventing burnout, hosted a guided meditation session, and advocated for mental health and access to care.
In June, Confluent celebrated LBTQIA+ Pride with our Queerfluent ERG. All employees were invited to participate in “come as you are” inclusive yoga, virtual parties, education, and async opportunities to bond as a community. Queerfluent also hosted our first-ever event in India - a session on inclusion, identity, and allyship.
Being a woman of color and a member of the LGBT community, I feel that I can bring my authentic self to work and be comfortable in my own skin. We have an amazing DEI team who strives hard to make Confluent inclusive, not just in the US but also globally across all our locations.
